are tracking storm. christie ileto and bob turk. and marley hall is in connecticut, bracing for the storm. let's go first to bob and tim. >> this storm was off the carolina coast. then moved off the new jersey coast. just too far away from our region. except for rain on the eastern shore. in fact, salisbury picked up almost 1.75 inches rain. low pressure now, heading up toward east of nantucket. heavy precip out of the ocean. that's all rain snow line now from new york to easton, providence, rhode island. some of those bands may drop 2 to 3 inches of snow in an hour. in our region, we will see wind out of this system once it passes, with wind gusts over 40 miles an hour possible across north central portions of maryland. and the shenandoah valley to the west of us. that's in effect from late tonight, through tomorrow morning. but temperature-wise, we're still in the 30s. 37. 37 in elkton. it's warmer to the south. cold spot, oakland with shower activity there, expect it tonight. 32 degrees. now, what impact this is going to have on the northeast.

chris christie is doing. a new poll shows his approval rating is 73%. earlier this week, the focus wasn't on his political performance but rather his weight. he lashed out at a former white house doctor who said his weight would present a serious health risk. christie said he is working to lose weight and has a plan in place. >>> the number of mothers choosing to breast-feed their babies is on the rise in this country. kai has more on a new report just released on that subject. kai? >> reporter: that's right. a new report shows more u.s. moms are breast-feeding. but overall, rates are still low. from 2000 to 2008. the number of mother whose breast-fed their infants rose. the number of moms who continued breast-feeding jumped nearly 10%. however, the cdc cautions, more mothers still need to breast- feed. >>> african american mothers still have the lowest rate of continual breast-feeding at 58%, even though they increase their overall breast-feeding rate by 13%. vic? >> kai, thank you. >>> the cdc says breastmilk can provide powerful antibodies

more on how that might change the state. >> yeah, basically, christie said if it had a few changes, he would support it. christie wants a ten-year trial period, so it can be reviewed. he also wants internet gambling revenues packed at a 15% rate as opposed to the currently proposed 10%. he wanted more money devoted to helping those with addictions. if the amendments are made and the legislation is passed and both things are expected, new jersey becomes the third state to move forward with legal online gambling. nevada, which is only poker, and delaware, are the others. all three probably should start the practice later in the year. in a statement to the state assembly, christie wrote, since the beginning of my administration i have stressed the importance of reversing the trend of economic contraction in atlantic city. atlantic city is the key word here. according to wells fargo, this could mean up to $850 million in a year in revenue. right now, the bill would be just for people living in the state to be able to gamble online. other states with legal online gambling could utilize the
